Shark Hepa Filter for NV340
SharkShark Hepa Filter for NV340. Replace the Hepa Filter for your NV340 vacuum cleaner. When the air filter is too dirty to clean, replace it with this spare part and boost its performance and high efficiency.
HEPA stands for high efficiency particulate air. A HEPA filter is a type of mechanical air filter; it works by forcing air through a fine mesh that traps harmful particles such as pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and tobacco smoke. You can find HEPA filters in all Shark vacuums. Unlike many Hepa filters, those inside your Shark can be cleaned with water. First check filters to see if they need cleaning. Follow instructions for rinsing and completely air-drying the filters before reinserting in the vacuum.
HEPA Filter Cleaning Instructions
To clean filters, rinse them with water only. Allow all filters to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling to prevent liquid from being drawn into electric parts. Clean the pre-motor filters at least once a month and post-motor filter at least once a year. Tap off loose dirt between washes when needed. More frequent cleaning may sometimes be necessary with heavy use but this can weaken it's capabilities so if you're in any doubt the filters should be replaced.
